Margaret Moore
Board Member 

Margaret Moore is a visiting professor in the Administration of Justice Program at the University of the District of Columbia. Her background includes more than 25 years of experience in the administration of state and municipal correctional systems. She is vice chair of the board of directors for the Nia Community Public Charter school in Southwest, D.C and serves on the board of directors of Hope House, a non-profit organization that provides services to the District's incarcerated citizens and their children.

Ms. Moore received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Child Development and Social Work respectively. She was confirmed by the District Council on June 5, 2007, and sworn in on June 27, 2007. Her term ends on January 12, 2010.
